Protection role of cross‐seeding of TKEQVTNV with freshly prepared hIAPP1–37 monomers in amyloid‐mediated cytotoxicity by (a) MTT assay for cell viability and (b) LDH assay for cell cytotoxicity when the incubation of hIAPP (25 μM) with and without TKEQVTNV at molar ratios of 1:1, 1:2, and 1:4 for 24 hr. Data were normalized by the pure cell group. The t‐test was used for data analysis (n = 3) for cells treated with TKEQVTNV or hIAPP alone relative to control. (°°°p <.005, °°°°p <.001), as well as cells treated with mixed TKEQVTNV‐hIAPP relative to cells treated with hIAPP alone (*p <.05; **p <.01).
