Overall image acquisition strategy for patient-adaptive MR oximetry. Multiple T2-prepared images are acquired at different inter-echo spacing (τ180), in order to create a system of equations to fit the Luz–Meiboom model. Additional measurable parameters in the model, hematocrit, and arterial O2 saturation from a finger pulse oximeter are provided as patient-specific inputs to improve the accuracy of O2 saturation estimate in the chambers and vessels of the right heart.
