Tumour accumulation of TSL-Dox in tumour-bearing mice in combination with mild localised HT. 14C-Dox-loaded TSL (LTSL-Dox, TTSL-Dox and NTSL-Dox) were injected intravenously in (A) murine melanoma B16F10-tumour bearing mice and (B) human breast MDA-MB-435-xenograft bearing athymic nude mice. Mild localized HT (60 min) was applied immediately after injection, tumours were isolated 1 hr or 24 post-HT. 14C-Dox level in tumours was determined using liquid scintillation counter and results were expressed as % ID/g tissue. Data are expressed as mean ± S.D (n=4-5). Statistical analysis was performed using one-way ANOVA followed by Bonferroni post-test. * denotes comparison between control and the treatments (* p < 0.05, ** p < 0.01, *** p < 0.001).
