In keeping with MGC recruitment into modular zones at this age as observed in CX3CR1+/GFP mice with functional fractalkine receptors, earlier unremarkable expression of fractalkine becomes distinctly modular at P12 (a-c). Higher magnifications (d-f) of inset box (a) show clear overlap of fractalkine expression and GAD-positive LCIC modules.
