RhoprGpat1 knockdown reduces TAG content in the posterior midgut and fat body. Fasted adult females were injected with dsRNA for RhoprGpat1 or Mal (control) genes. Insects were fed on the third day after injection. Anterior midgut (A) and posterior midgut (B) were dissected on the 2nd day after feeding. Fat body (C) and laid eggs (D) were obtained on the 5th day after feeding. The composition of neutral lipids (left panels) and phospholipids (right panels) were determined by TLC. Results are means ± S.E.M., n = 3 independent experiments. (*): P < 0.05 compared to control values by Student’s t-test.
