^aAll the primers, including those used for RT-PCR, were used individually for sequence determinations. For the VP4 gene, three partially overlapping RT-PCR products were amplified by employing T804 and T3′ END, T806 and T807, and T805 and T810 primer pairs, respectively. The sequencing results were unequivocal; hence, one strand of each of the genes was sequenced in both strains.
