The total cellular proteins of 13 cell lines were equalized and subjected to Western immunoblotting analysis with a pan-anti-Hsp90 antibody. The relative amount of the total cellular Hsp90 protein (percentage of total cellular proteins) of the tested cell lines was quantitated via NIH ImageJ analysis against their own β-actin and then compared to the previously reported 3.66% of total Hsp90 protein in MDA-MB-231 cells (23) to calculate the percent Hsp90.
