Redistribution of the Na⁺-K⁺ pump.

Notes: CM has direct toxic effects on renal tubular epithelial cells, resulting in the redistribution of the Na⁺-K⁺ pump. The pumps deliver from the basolateral to the luminal side of the tubular cells, causing an Na⁺ increase in the tubule lumen.
