Primary hepatocytes were isolated from wild type and Hjv−/− mice and left untreated or treated overnight with 15 μg/ml ferric ammonium citrate (FAC) or 100 μM desferrioxamine (DFO), respectively (n = 7–8 technical replicates for each condition).
