Bb strains varied in their ability to survive in robin but not white-footed (WF) mouse sera in a complement-dependent fashion. Percent survival of indicated Bb strains is shown in uninfected robin sera in the (a) absence or (b) presence of OmCI, or uninfected WF mouse sera in the (c) absence or (d) presence of CVF.
