Model 1 is adjusted for sex, age (continuous), and intervention group. Model 2 is as model 1 plus education, smoking status (never, former and smokers), and physical activity in leisure time (sedentary, moderately active, active). Model 3 is as model 2 plus BMI (<30, 30–35, <35), energy intake, intake of carbohydrates, saturated fatty acids, and proteins, alcohol, and glucose-lowering treatment.
