The rectangle on panel (A) shows the approximate location of the section on panel (B). (B) Photomicrograph of a 40 μm section taken with a fluorescence microscope. The fourth ventricle (IV) is visible on the left side of the picture, and the fluorescence emitted by the reporter protein is clearly visible at the expected location of the LC. Note that we used a green filter to capture the fluorescence of the CFP.
