Clinical significance of Alix, nSMase, and RAB27a expression in RCC or SS and SR RCC cell lines. (A) Kaplan–Meier curve generated by implementing data from the TCGA database revealed that the high RAB27a expression group had significantly lower overall survival (OS) when compared to the outcomes of patients with low RAB27a mRNA expression. When comparing RAB27a mRNA expression between pathologic T stage, T4 displayed higher levels then all others. (B) Alix, nSMase, or RAB27a protein expression within each cell line were determined by western blotting. In all of the SR RCC cell lines, protein expression of Alix, nSMase, or RAB27a were higher when compared to each SS parent cell line. GAPDH was used as a loading control and full blots are presented in Supplementary Figure S8.
