HDRS after treatment for 8 weeks (mean ± SD) 5.7 ± 4.0 7.8 ± 4.9 16.9 ± 3.4 23.6 ± 6.3 ND

HDRS is the Hamilton Depression Rating Scale; 17-variable version is the left-hand set and 25-variable version is the right-hand set. There are no significant differences between study groups for age, sex or baseline pre-treatment HDRS. Post-treatment HDRS values after eight weeks of treatment are significantly lower for responders than non-responders. ND Not done, N/A Not applicable
