The figure shows it was not until bacteriophage therapy was used that cure of infection occurred. IA refers to intraarticular administration. DAIR refers to debridement and implant retention surgery. MSIS refers to musculoskeletal infection society. The MSIS criteria for PJI diagnosis are well documented elsewhere [2].
