Results of experiments like those in Fig. 3 and 6 were quantitated, and the percent recombination is plotted against spacer length (in base pairs) for each enzyme. In all experiments 0.3 fmol of DNA and approximately 10 fmol of nuclease were injected. For L18 (QQR), this is considerably less enzyme than was used in the experiments shown in Fig. 2.
