DCA affects NK cell- and CTL-mediated cytotoxicity in leukemic cells depending on tumor p53 status. (A) The AML cell lines OCI-AML, NB4 and HL-60 or the primary lymphoma BCL-P2 cells were incubated with 1 mM or 5 mM DCA for 1 week before overnight incubation at different E:T ratios with eNK cells. (B) MM cell lines MM1.S and U266 and the lymphoma cell line MEC1 were incubated with 5 mM for 3 days before overnight incubation at E:T ratio 1:1 with e-NK or eCTLs that were produced from UCBs or PBLs. The specific killing of tumor cells was quantified by FACs.
