The S/B ratio was calculated by dividing the average value of the blue fluorescence of 10 positive WODLs and that of 10 negative WODLs from micrographs. “0 h” refers to microscopic observation immediately after mixing positive and negative WODLs. Micrographs are shown in Figure S4. Blue fluorescence intensities were analyzed by ImageJ.30
