Minority mosaic framework. Mosaic tiles represent various minority identity elements, where the mosaic as a whole captures the complex and multidimensional nature of one’s identity. Arrows represent minority stress experiences that can be associated with unique minority mosaics. Bends in the arrows represent individual differences in psychological mediators and pathways that alter one’s response to such minority stressors. Taken together, these experiences can then result in resiliency (i.e. strength through adversity) and/or psychological injury.
