DH5α was incubated at 37°C for 30 and 60 min in 25% normal human serum (NHS), 25% heat-inactivated human serum (heat-IHS) or 25% Sat pre-treated normal human serum (Sat-NHS). Data are presented as CFU/mL counts on MacConkey agar plates. Time zero CFU/mL correspond to the initial inocula before contact with NHS, heat-IHS or Sat-NHS.
