αSyn fibrils spreading. αSyn fibrils are internalized by neuronal cells through endocytosis. Then, they reach the lysosomal compartment by travelling through early and late endosomes. αSyn fibrils escape the endosomal compartment through an undefined mechanism, and are released via exocytosis or tunneling nanotubes (TNT), thus reaching neighboring neurons and spreading the pathology.
