Early IFN-β administration to CS-exposed mice induced an unimpaired antiviral response to influenza infection. CS exposure, early or late IFN-β administration and IAV infection are the same as Fig. 2A. Mice were infected with 500 PFU of IAV. The mice were sacrificed at day 5 post infection and mRNA levels in the lungs were assessed by qRT-PCR and normalized by β-actin.
