Effect of pharmacological agents which alter Ca²⁺ homeostasis in PMNs. PMNs were pretreated for 10 min with the following agents: ionomycin at 1 μM, A23187 at 10⁻⁷ M, thapsigargin at 200 nM, cyclopiazonic acid at 30 μM, W₇ at 30 μM, and chlorpromazine at 20 μM. Levofloxacin was then added and uptake was measured at 5 or 30 min (mean ± SEM for three experiments or mean only for two experiments).
