Handgrip strength of patients on hemodialysis. The histogram illustrates the handgrip strength of the studied patients. We defined 100% handgrip strength as 28 kg in males and 18 kg in females, according to the consensus report of the Asian Working Group for Sarcopenia (Chen LK, et al. J Am Med Dir Assoc. 2020;21:300–307). Of the 421 included patients, 63.1% (266 patients) demonstrated < 100% handgrip strength.
