A simple schema of the developing pathway of muscle hyperalgesia caused by a higher tissue uric acid level in the mouse model, and the effects of inhibitors at each factor. Muscle hyperalgesia associated with locally recruited neutrophils forming NETs due to the increased tissue UA levels might create a “vicious circle” because of prolonging unfavorable inflammatory environments with new neutrophil infiltration.
