Figure 1.

Propofol postconditioning has protective effect on diabetic MI/RI. (A) Area of myocardial infarction was detected using 2,3,5-triphenyl-2H-tetrazolium chloride staining. (B) Pathological changes of MI/RI tissue were detected using HE staining. Oxidative stress index levels were detected using ELISA: (C) ROS, (D) CK-MB, (E) LDH, (F) SOD and (G) MDA levels. (H) Apoptosis was detected using TUNEL staining. (I) Bax and Bcl-2 serum levels were detected using ELISA. n=6. Three independent cell tests were performed. Data are presented as the mean ± standard deviation. One-way ANOVA was used for comparisons between groups followed by Tukey's post hoc test. **P<0.01. MI/RI, myocardial ischemia reperfusion injury; ROS, reactive oxygen species; CK-MB, creatinine kinase-myocardial band; LDH, lactate dehydrogenase; SOD, superoxide dismutase; MDA, malondialdehyde; DS, sham group; DI, MI/RI group; DP, MI/RI + propofol group.
