(b) Heatmap of the measured metabolites showed nine differentially expressed metabolites between encephalitis and control groups using Pearson's correlation. The changes in metabolites showed five metabolites were elevated in encephalitis (kynurenine, 3-hydroxykynurenine, anthranilic acid, quinolinic acid, neopterin) and four metabolites decreased (tryptophan, kynurenic acid, 3-hydroxyanthranilic acid, arginine). The encephalitis and control groups were labelled with green and red bars respectively. The blue coloured cells represent downregulation and red coloured cells represent upregulation.
