Dear Editor,

We would like to thank the readers for their keen interest in our recently published article titled – ”Red reflex test screening for neonates: A systematic review and meta-analysis.”[1,2] This article was primarily aimed at determining the efficacy of red reflex test in detecting ocular abnormalities in the neonatal age group.

We greatly appreciate the readers for raising an important concern regarding our article despite per our attempts to carry out this meta-analysis in the most accurate way. We agree that publication bias was not assessed unknowingly while conducting this study. We would like to credit the readers for carrying out the analysis for the presence of publication bias using Deeks funnel plot. In concordance with the findings of the readers, as per our analysis as well, there was no evidence of any publication bias.
