Effect of solamargine on cell viability of CRPC cells. (a) Chemical structure of solamargine. (b) and (c) PC3 and DU145 cells were treated with the indicated concentrations of solamargine (SM) for 48 h cell viability was determined by CCK8 assay. (d) and (e) PC3 and DU145 cells were treated with 3 μM and 5 μM solamargine, and then the cell viability was evaluated at the indicated time points. (f) Colony formation assay was employed to test the long-term cell proliferation of PC3 and DU145 cells after solamargine treatment for about two weeks.
