Effects of saline, L-THA, receptor antagonists, and receptor antagonists with L-THA on arteriole diameter. Saline, L-THA (100 μM), receptor antagonist cocktail [DNQX (10 μM)/D-APV (50 μM)/MCPG (1 mM)/R-Baclofen (100 μM)], or a combination of receptor antagonist cocktail with L-THA were picospritzed near cortical arterioles. (A) Data are presented as boxplots. (B) Forest plots are also included to show the mean differences expressed as ratios of the effect of Receptor Antagonists with L-THA over that observed with L-THA. The redline is at 1 and represents no difference. The data for saline and L-THA are described in Figure 4 legend, the data for receptor antagonists are from 3 animals (1 male, 2 females) and the data for receptor antagonists with L-THA are from 4 animals (1 male, 3 females).
