The negative peaks indicate anticoagulant activity where velocity is lower than the assay solution in control wells without venom toxins, and the positive peaks indicate procoagulant activity where velocity is higher than that in control wells without venom toxins. The top superimposed chromatograms are characteristic profiles of the UV trace at 220, 254 and 280 nm. PBS indicates venom only samples where PBS was used as a control for the inhibitors. Traces with different colours indicate different concentrations (final) of inhibitors in the assay.
