Antigen expression was determined as the median and range per group as follows. For the bronchioles, bronchi, and bronchial glands, the percentage of positively stained epithelium was estimated on every slide, and the average of the four slides was taken to provide the score per animal. For the nasal glands and septum/nasal turbinates, the percentage of positively stained epithelium was estimated on one slide per animal.
