Frontal-theta amplitude peaks were significantly delayed after occipital-theta amplitude peaks in the slow task, and trending in a similar manner in the fast task, supporting the notion that frontal maintenance processing occurs downstream from visual encoding. 0 s denotes the onset of the first memory item presentation.
