Progress, from screening to study completion, of participants in the double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled pilot trial comparing 35-day oral AZD4017 treatment with placebo in adults with type 2 diabetes. A total of 300 prospective participants were screened. Eight of the 36 individuals enrolled in the study were not randomized because they did not meet eligibility criteria, and 27 of 28 participants who were randomized completed the study.
