The 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-5-(3-carboxymethoxyphenyl)-2-(4-sulfophenyl)-2H-tetrazolium, inner salt (MTS) cell viability assay. Twenty-one (21) days differentiated Caco-2 cells and THP-1 cells were seeded in a 96-well plate in the absence and presence of different amounts of mEVs from 1 × 10⁴ to 1 × 10¹¹. Cells were incubated for 48 h at 37 °C under 5% CO₂. After 2 h incubation with MTS reagent, absorbance at 490 nm was measured using a microplate reader.
