Forest plot summarizing the prognostic value of high vs low fibrotic activity. Type III collagen pro-peptides were measured in pre-treatment serum or plasma and were associated with overall survival (OS) outcomes in patients with different cancer types. All studies, except Chen et al., applied cutoffs that were based on dichotomizing patients in to ´high’ and ‘low’ levels of type III collagen pro-peptides and the exact cutoff value varied from study to study.
