Fibrinogen supplementation stabilizes thrombi formed at hemodilution against fibrino lysis. (A) FITC-fibrinogen (43.5 µg/mL) was added to whole blood (black) or 40% HD blood in the presence of 1 mg/mL FibCLOT®, RiaSTAP® or cryoprecipitate. The thrombi were formed by recalcification (10.9 mM CaCl2) and rotated on at 30 rpm for 90 min. The thrombi were lysed with tPA (1 µg/mL), and lysis was measured as fluorescence release of degradation products. (B).
