TolA, TolQ and TolR proteins form a complex in the inner membrane while the periplasmic TolB protein is associated with the outer membrane-associated Pal protein at the C-terminal site. The N-terminal domain in the TolB protein interacts with the C-terminal domain in the TolA protein.
