Relationship of weakness and Fugl-Meyer scale for the upper extremity (FM-UE). Comparing strength (expressed as a % of nonparetic strength) with each patients’ FM-UE scores revealed strong correlations between FM-UE and shoulder abduction strength, elbow flexion strength, and elbow extension strength, but not shoulder adduction strength (which was relatively high across the whole patient population).
