(A-B) M17 cells were stained by PI after treatment by erastin (25 μM, 50 μM) (A) and RSL3 (10 μM) (B) for 24 hours (n = 3 replicates). (C) Iron chelator DFO treatment (50 μM) rescued cell death in erastin treatment (n = 3 replicates). (D) DFO treatment rescued oxidized lipid in C19orf12 KO cells (n = 150 cells). (E) Mitochondrial fragmentation in C19orf12 KO cells was rescued by DFO treatment (n = 50 cells). (F-G), ATP levels (n = 3 replicates) and maximal OCR (n = 5 replicates) in C19orf12 KO cells were restored after DFO treatment.
