sAβPPα time-course following 5-HT4 receptor stimulation in H4/AβPP/5-HT4 cells. A) H4/AβPP/5-HT4 cells were treated with 5-HT (1 μM), the 5-HT4 agonist RS-67333 (3 μM), or RS-67333 (3 μM) plus the 5-HT4 antagonist GR-113808 (3 μM) for 1, 2, 4, 8, 24, or 48 h in a serum free medium. The concentrated medium was subjected to immunoblotting using anti-sAβPPα antibody. B) The sAβPPα band intensity was measured and normalized for tubulin intensity, and plotted based on normalized band intensities of 24 h vehicle-treated cells. Error bars show S.E.M.
