The chromosomes (1–22,X,Y) are represented on the horizontal axis and the thresholds for gains and losses are indicated by the vertical axis. The sample is matched against reference DNA representing a female karyotype 46,XX. The result shows presence of two X chromosomes and gain of chromosome Y. Hence, the cell-based NIPT result suggests a 47,XXY karyotype.
