Effect of SFN on animal weight. 1 h post SE, we observe no statistically significant weight changes between the groups (A). We observed reduced weight in SE groups 1 day (B) and 3 weeks after SE (C). SFN has no effect on weight gain neither in the Saline nor in the SE groups (The Kruskal–Wallis test was followed by uncorrected Dunn’s test comparing all other groups to the Saline group, *P < 0.05 vs. Sal group).
