Table 1. Parameters of quadrant-detection adaptive optics scanning light ophthalmoscope system.
System Parameters | Value |
---|---|
Imaging Wavelength and Peak Power a | 790 nm, 150 µW |
Beacon Wavelength and Peak Power a | 830 nm, 20 µW |
Beam Size at Pupil of the Eye | 7.75 mm |
Confocal Detection Pinhole Size | 1 Airy Disk |
Non-Confocal Annulus Outer Diameter | 20 Airy Disks |
Non-Confocal Annulus Inner Diameter | 2 Airy Disks |
Field of View | ∼1×1° |
Horizontal Scanning Rate | 15 kHz |
Horizontal/Vertical Number of Pixels | 768/650 |
Digitizer Pixel Clock | 40 MHz |
Frame Rate | 16.6 fps |
The continuous wave light source (CW) was turned ON only in the portions of the scanner raster necessary for imaging, and off elsewhere. Therefore, average power was approximately 2.5 times lower than peak power.
