(a). Uridine treatment reduced the expression of IL-6 and IL-1β. The senescent GES-1 and RGM-1 cells were pre-treated with uridine (0.4 mg) for 24 h. The level of proinflammatory cytokines were analyzed by ELISA kit (Thermo, 88–50,625 for IL-6; Thermo, 88–7340 for TNFα and Thermo, 88–6010 for IL-1β) according to the manufacturer’s instructions. (b). Uridine pre-treatment inhibited inflammatory-related signaling pathway. The senescent GES-1 and RGM-1 cells were pre-treated with uridine (0.4 mg) for 24 h. The activation of NF-κB and MAPK signaling pathway were analyzed by Western-blot. The data are shown as means ± SEM. Asterisks indicate significant differences (P < 0.05).
