Raman spectra of the sample of the hot spring precipitate N-HP-2 composed of different types of sulfates. This spectroscopic technique allowed us to distinguish them (from the frequency shift around 1000 cm⁻¹) and to study the hydration level (from the broad band at 3000–4000 cm⁻¹ characteristic of the OH stretching modes of water).
