Crystal structure of BfFeoA.A, similar to other FeoA proteins structurally characterized, BfFeoA adopts an SH3-like fold, which is characterized by a small β-barrel. B, like observed in the structure of KpFeoA (PDB ID 6E55), BfFeoA contains a “C-shaped” clamp region lined with hydrophobic residues (shown in ball and stick), composed of Phe23, Ile27, Met30, Ile59, and Leu61.
