A relatively long hydrophobic 8-stranded antiparallel β-barrel (same as in Fig. 4) is formed by NAC β-hairpins at the core and an outer 20-stranded antiparallel β-barrel is formed by Nt. Sy7 is boxed in red. The dashed line in the flattened models indicates the plane of 2-fold symmetry. Residues at the beginning and end of NT that differ in α-Syn and β-Syn are boxed in purple.
