NICM: non-ischemic cardiomyopathy, ICM: ischemic cardiomyopathy, EF: ejection fraction, LV-EDD: left ventricular end-diastolic diameter, RV-EDD: right ventricular end-diastolic diameter, LDL: low-density lipoprotein, HDL: high-density lipoprotein. Spearman’s correlation test was used to examine the correlation between NT-proBNP levels, different echocardiographic and laboratory parameters and heart tissue PACAP-38 levels. Moreover, multivariate analysis was performed, also considering the etiology of cardiomyopathy (non-ischemic or ischemic).
