Effect of pH on the relative kcat values of the wild-type and the D90N β-lactamases. The following buffers were used for the assay; 50 mM MES buffers containing 0.5 M NaCl and 1 mM zinc sulfate (pH 5.0 to 6.5) and 50 mM MOPS buffer containing 0.5 M NaCl (pH 7.0 to 8.0).
